We had another sold out crowd at Johnny Brenda’s and our efforts raised over $1100 for Girls Rock Philly!

We would like to thank everyone who helped make Ignite Philly 5 awesome, especially Councilman Bill Green and Allan Frank for kicking off the evening. Our graciously hosts Johnny Brenda’s, along with Eventbrite, the 8-Static crew and a big thanks to all of the speakers and volunteers. And finally all of you for your continuing support, you make Ignite Philly possible and you make Philadelphia a better place.

Ignite Philly events 1, 2, & 3 were sold-out… or more accurately (since they are free) were filled to capacity. Translation: if you got there a little late, you probably had to stand in line waiting for someone to leave to take their spot or never got in.

At Ignite Philly 4, we raise $750 from ticket sales! The money was presented in the form a giant check to The Food Trust, a Philadelphia-based organization and Ignite Philly 1 alum.

After great success with tickets sales last time, we’ve decided to do it again. This time around all of the proceeds… and I mean 100%…will go to Girls Rock Philly, a Philadelphia-based non-profit that spoke at Ignite Philly 3 about their empowering rock n’  roll camps that provide girls from the greater Philadelphia region with a positive music and mentoring opportunities.

Ignite is a format for people to present ideas. (It is not a venue for promoting your company. There are other really valuable events in Philadelphia that allow you to promote your company. Some even are structured to give you feedback on your business. Ignite Philly is NOT one of those venues.)
